Wait Till I Get My Money Right.

Michael Jackson "This is It" Tour Military jacket that   lights up using remote control Lumalive LED textile technology rushed through development by Philips Research in the Netherlands.  No, really. Walking in with this jacket would set off every party. So rediculous.

HOW TO: Make An Apple Bong.

Poke a hole on the opposite side near the bottom or middle so that it meets up with the first hole you poked.

Using the same technique an inch or a little more from the top hole, jam a third hole that will meet up with your existing chamber system. This "carb" can be essentially anywhere on the apple, but you'll want it to be convenient to cover with a finger while you're lighting your "tobacco".

Carve out a bowl on the top of the apple where the first hole was drilled. Make it big enough to hold the material you want to smoke. This can be done by "eating" it essentially. The best way is to carefully gnaw away with one of your sharp teeth so that it's more precise, but you can also use a key or just about anything.

Precise drilling and experience are the only ways to really improve on the system. With a little ingenuity you can find a system that works to make the hole at the bottom of the bowl smaller, such as taking a chuck of the apple and jamming it in there with a smaller hole in it, or just taking a smaller chunk and covering all but a little bit of the hole.

Now Hear This

What Richmond, Va lacks in originality it makes up for in local live music.  Photosynthesizers are a band that has it all.  Their blend of Hip-hop, ska, Go-Go, makes their influences clear as day  but their sound insanely new. Check em'

" 99.9 percent--of the information you get about Africa is wrong." - Fela Kuti

Free Gucci Mane.

Now we here at Deven.Spacey don't usually fuck with ignorant rappers and their lame ass tracks about money, cars, and women but there's always at least one guilty pleasure and Gucci Mane just happens to be ours. Burrr!! Two months ago Gucci was sentenced to a year in prison for parole violation and in a random turn of events, hipster producer Diplo (Santigold,M.I.A,Spank Rock) has released a free mix-tape of Gucci Mane remixes. Some of the dub-electro tracks clash with Gucci's signature drawl but there are a few stand out remixes; No, No, No and Excuse Me (Diplo Mix). The mixtape also includes Gucci Mane tracks re-worked by dj's Flying Lotus, Teenwolf, and Zomby. Get it while it's free.

Haiti

Last week a 7.0 M earthquake hit the island nation of Haiti causing damage and fatalities of catastrophic proportions. As of today there are an estimated 100,000 deaths not including those who remain missing.
Elisabeth Byrs of the UN called it the worst disaster the United Nations has experienced because the organizational structures of the UN in Haiti and the Haitian government were destroyed.
Prior to the quake Haiti was considered the poorest country in the western hemisphere ranked 149th of 182 countries on the human development index. The Australian government's travel advisory site expressed concerns that Haitian emergency services would be unable to cope in the event of a major disaster.

Me,The Clash, and The PCH.

I recently returned from Los Angeles, CA for a lil bit of business but mostly for pleasure. The last time I had been there was almost 6 years prior and on my last go round in L.A, I missed the opportunity to meet my Father's dear friend and old Air force buddy, Andre, and his family. Sadly Andre passed away shortly after my trip, so this time I really wanted a chance to meet them all. Ultimately with me only being there for 4 three days and with all the busy schedules, I only got a chance to meet Andre's daughter Amethyst (Cali name fo sho). Amethyst and I talked and got to know each other over Thai food and she asked if there  was anything that I wanted to see in particular before I left. I knew I had to see the PCH, (Pacific Coast Highway) immediately.  It always looked so beautiful on Baywatch. Well it was freezing outside and we unfortunately couldn't drive with the windows down but the coastline of California is the most beautiful landscape I have ever seen. Ame's cd kept skipping in the player and I mentioned that I had just bought The Clash's London Calling from a West Hollywood cd shop and I had it in my purse. Such a good call. Every song on that cd just worked for that drive. And to think people live there! Thanks Amethyst for the memories and I will meet the rest of the Baptiste clan next time.
